Mostly it is brilliant and far more amazing than we imagined. Mechanically it's great and the driving experience is fantastic. Wild enough for me, safe enough for my wife. However inside the aesthetics are utterly ruined by the stereo. Everything else is black and red, apart from the hideous green blob in the middle of the dash board.

I have owned two WRX, a Legacy Spec B, and now a BRZ. All my Subaru's whether purchased new or used have been reliable and very strong. I push cars hard and other makes tend to fail, Subaru's do not. The BRZ gets better as the miles increase and perhaps as I learn to push harder and hold gears longer. I love the rear drive handling which makes every trip to work that bit more exciting due to some wide roundabouts on route. Yes, I'll keep buying Subaru.

I have always been a car fan and over the years have owned 2 Lotus, 2 TVRS, 3 BMW M5s and a few Jaguars. I bought my BRZ after one test drive and even after 3 years, I still love driving it. OK, it is not going to win many drag races but that's not what the BRZ is about. On country roads when the opportunity arises, it comes into its element which is a pure, drivers car. The handling is fantastic and very predictable and forgiving. This does not mean compromising comfort. It's perfect for a sports car. It also has a nice size boot which makes it very practical for 2 person touring. I average 35 mpg and I don't hang about as sedate driving would be an insult to the BRZ's capability and nature. Some say it needs more power but in my experience, using the revs and gearbox correctly which is the whole point of a true drivers car, it has more than enough for everyday pleasure. Across country on a windy road it will eat my M5 for breakfast! All this with excellent reliability make the BRZ a no brainer in its price range. Book yourself an extended test drive, use it as it's meant to be used and you'll be hooked!
