What’s Levorg really like? How does it drive? Get the inside story from owners and motoring press experts
Very well built, it has a real quality feel to it. Nice to drive, smooth, quiet, refined and very comfortable. Loads of equipment and good features. I really like the fact that it is permanent all wheel drive and has a boxer engine. It is a car which treads its own path and is all the better for it. It is different but not just for the sake of it. It is technically very well thought out and executed.
Really enjoying the Levorg, very easy to get comfortable in, a nice smooth ride with the power available when needed. This is my first Subaru and I have a feeling it won't be my last.
well made and enjoyable to drive. But ride to firm at low speed and high emissions.
This the first Subaru I've owned and I'm very impressed I must say, I've owned a fair few of what you would call prestigious brands and I can truly say that this is up there with and if not better. The enjoyment you get from driving the Levorg you wouldn't think it was an estate car, you look forward to the next time you get to drive it. I will certainly be looking at a Subaru again for my next car. Very impressed.
The Levorg is a great car, handles great and is such an enjoyable car to drive you want to get straight back in and drive it again when you stop. The level of the interior is pretty impressive and I've had some "prestigious" cars in my time. The only slight downside is I'm only returning 30mpg no matter how I drive on my commute to work but it's only 9 miles away and is very stop start, just something you've got to expect with the size and weight of the car even though you can't tell how big it is when driving.
The Levorg feels very solid and rugged to drive. The rally bred exterior styling looks modern and sporty without looking too aggressive. The all round visibility is excellent and the seats are very comfortable. There is very little body roll when conering although the car feels stiff when driving over a pot hole or bump in the road. The CVT transmission is better than I thought it would be, it is smooth and effortless in intelligent mode and reasonably responsive in sport mode, although I would have preferred a manual gearbox personally. Both the engine and gearbox are quiet and refined and the car doesn't sound like a normal Subaru boxer engine. I am disappointed the Eyesight system is not offered as an accessory on this model considering how excellent it is and I would have also liked the option of a sunroof. Overall I am very happy with the Levorg, it has some nice touches, is very practical and excellent to drive.
"Do take a look though as the Levorg does offer a more involving drive than most family estate cars. Its all-wheel drive transmission will keep you moving whatever the weather and its top notch build quality means that it will probably last forever."
"The handling is sublime, helped by the symmetrical all-wheel-drive system, while power is laid down in silky-smooth fashion by the six-speed torque converter transmission."
"Certainly the stylish, athletic Levorg ticks all the boxes an estate car owner would be looking for such as space, comfort, equipment and economy."
"It’s also a solidly built, decently practical car that shows a return of Subarus previous commitment to the sporty estate market."
"It is however very smooth to driver and feels very refined."
"If there is one more familiar word to sum up the Levorg it is “smooth”
